What is The Senior Friendship Club?

Inter-generational
FRIENDSHIPS ARE IMPORTENT

The Senior Friendship Club (the "Club") is an easily joined social group that welcomes persons who wish to meet and interact with neighboring seniors (persons 65 and older), the only requirement for membership being the age of twenty-one (21) and older. All applications for "membership" are accepted when accompanied by proof of age, there being no other criteria required.

The Club intends to notify all members of the time and place of periodic get-togethers, informal gatherings scheduled periodically for the purpose of providing an opportunity for members to meet one another.

Membership in the Club does not indicate or imply that acceptance of membership endorses or approves any individual member. Members are not "background checked" by the Club. It is suggested and strongly recommended that any potential "HOST", obtain several personal and (perhaps) business references prior to providing access to their home by anyone with whom they have not had considerable prior contact and experience.

Likewise, any member should become personally comfortable with seniors newly met, and have visited their home, as well as having other social contact, such as dining together, prior to making a decision to move into their home. In addition, references may be requested.

The "bottom line" is simply that the Club, by virtue of accepting an individual for membership does not in any way endorse or approve such individual for rent-free housing, such decision being a (hopefully) sound decision made by every prospective HOST.
